If Axl Rose doesn't release the Guns 'n' Roses album 'Chinese Democracy' soon, it may be too late. Real fans may already have it.
'Chinese Democracy' is fast becoming one of the most bootlegged albums on the planet. The finished product may or may not be already available on illegal sites but rest assured a version of 'Chinese Democracy' definately is.Rose is reported to have now handed over the tapes to Geffen Records for a release but Universal still has nothing on its schedule for album.
He has now also teamed up with Azoff Management for representation of the band, which again indicates that the album is imminent. But is it? We've been this close before.
A release sheet from Universal in 1999 featured the album cover and release date. We are now 9 years down the road and there is still nothing concrete.
Rose began recording 'Chinese Democracy' 14 years ago. The album is reported to have so far cost more than $15 million.
Will we see it before the end of the year? Hopefully. If not it may be too late. The millions of fans who have already grabbed an illegal version of the album may not need an official version anymore.
Maybe its time for 'Chinese Democracy' to be shelved and for Axl to move on to his next record.
Here is the tracklisting for a version of 'Chinese Democracy' already doing the rounds:
The Blues
Catcher In The Rye

IRS
