Angelic Australian pop singer and actress Sophie Monk is dating Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden.
The relationship has been confirmed by her Sydney rep to The Daily Telegraph's Confidential column, "It's still fairly new but, yes, they have been dating.'' Despite his tattoos and eyeliner (but probably understandable considering the radio-friendly sounds of his band), Monk's rep said, "Sophie's just told me he's a really nice boy."Sydney Confidential suggested that Madden had a fling with Killing Heidi frontwoman Ella Hooper five years ago (who would've been a barely legal 18 years old). This echoed Benji's twin brother and bandmate Joel's ongoing relationship with teen poppet Hilary Duff. When they first started dating Duff was only 16 years old.
Duff endorses the relationship between the 25 year old Monk and her 26 year old ersatz brother-in-law. Duff told the Daily Telegraph, "She's a really nice girl. She's really sweet and she's beautiful, but I can't say anything more because I don't know how they want to handle that."
Monk is currently in Hollywood pursuing an acting career, having recently worked on a black comedy with Winona Ryder called 'Sex And Death 101' and a Warners comedy called 'Spring Breakdown'.
