R. Kelly was acquitted of child pornography charges on Friday (June 13) after a jury found him not guilty of having sex with a minor.
The R&B singer, who was facing 15 years in prison if found guilty, was overjoyed at the verdict and broke down in the courtroom, whispering "thank you, Jesus."Kelly was charged after a video surfaced that allegedly showed him having sex with Roshona Landfair, who was 14 at the time. However, neither Landfair nor her parents testified during the case, and she has reportedly said that the girl in the video was not her.
Landfair, who is now 23, was part of a music group that worked with Kelly.
