Way before he formed Eurythmics, Dave Stewart had a band called Platinum Weird.
Stewart formed the band in 1973 and was signed to Elton John's Rocket Records in 1974.The band featured lead singer Erin Grace who disappeared just before the release of the album and brought an end to the band before it even started.
Stewart has decided to re-issue the classic album 'Make Believe'.
Universal has picked up the rights to the album through imprint Interscope and will have the album in store in the USA on October 10. The UK release will be through Universal's Weapons of Mass Entertainment label and be released on October 16th.
Stewart has also announced he is putting the old band back together. In 2004, he wrote songs for Pussycat Dolls with LA songwriter Kara DioGuardi. She will be the new voice of Platinum Weird.
Their self-titled album Platinum Weird will be released early 2007.
