The Mars Volta walked off stage last month after an audience member threw a bottle of urine at the stage in Washington State, while supporting the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
The incident allegedly occurred after the band criticized the audience for moshing, something the band have always passionately enforced, as did Omar Rodriguiez-Lopez and Cedric Bixler-Zavala's previous band At The Drive In."That's what happens when you decide to put a venue on a sacred burial ground. Thank you very much and once again, I'll give you a hundred grand to find the person who is throwing urine up here. I will give you free merchandise and a lifetime supply to a Mars Volta show. Find that person and kick his ass for me. Bring me his head and we'll be friends." the band angrily stammered
"Shake your ass, not your first" Omar once said on stage in Melbourne with At The Drive In to a perplexed crowd who had just been told to stand still while they went nuts on stage.
