The Australian music industry will gather in Sydney this Sunday afternoon to hold a benefit for one of the true rock and roll assets, roadie Norm Sweeney.
Sweeney, a roadie for Max Merritt and the Meteors in the 60s, then with Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs has recently had to give up touring after being diagnosed with cancer.His friends will gather on Sunday at The Bridge Hotel in Rozelle.
The show will include performances from Richard Clapton, John Paul Young, Brian Cadd, The Aztecs, Jim Keays, Doug Parkinson, Swanee, Phil Manning and Dinah Lee. A few surprise guests are expected as well.
Doors open at 5pm. Tickets are $40.
