Professional celebrity Paris Hilton has been arrested in Hollywood on suspicion of drink driving.
Despite being pulled over at 1am after driving erratically and subsequently failing a sobriety test, Hilton claims the incident has been blown out of proportion. She told radio station KIIS-FM, "I had one margarita (and) was starving because I had not eaten all day. Maybe I was speeding a little bit and I got pulled over. I was just really hungry and I wanted to have an In-N-Out Burger."Hilton's passenger when her Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren was pulled over was Kimberley Stewart, daughter of Rod Stewart. The heiress claimed that police arrested her to "make a statement", and that they would not be giving her preferential treatment.
The incident caps a tough week for Paris, whose debut CD 'Paris' was the subject of an elaborate sabotage by British guerilla artist Banksy.
