On a new mixtape, rap star 50 Cent accuses hip-hop mogul Diddy of knowing the identity of Biggie Smalls' killer.
The mixtape, 'Hip-hop Is Dead: G-Unit Radio Part 22', featuring Mr. Fiddy rapping "Who shot Biggie Smalls?/ [If] we don't get them, they gonna kill us all," and "Man, Puffy know who hit that n--a man, that n--a's soft/ He's scared them boys from the west side gonna break him off."Sean Combs has dismissed the accusations on Funkmaster Flex's radio show.
In related gangsta-gunning news, Tupac Shukur's mother Afeni has postponed a trip to South Africa to commemorate the tenth anniversary of her son's death (September 7). She has encouraged Atlanta residents to plant a tree in the citiy's Peace Garden and fans worldwide to plant a tree in their own gardens.
Death hasn't hurt Tupac Shakur's career one bit. A "new" 2Pac album is mooted for release in November 2006, making it the sixth posthumous release and equaling the number of albums he released when he was alive (not including the numerous posthumous Greatest Hits and live albums).
