Activision, creators of Guitar Hero, has announced that the company is working on a Metallica based version of the game for release early next year.
In a 10-K filling to the Securities and Exchange Commission, the publicly traded company announced its plans for the Metallica game.The Metallica game will follow on from the recently announced Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and the forthcoming Guitar Hero World Tour, both expected to be released later this year.
The Guitar Hero series has substantially increased the value of the Activision shares. Activision shares have almost doubled in the last 12 months, from $16.94 to $34.00. The stock closed at $33.74 today.
The company also today launched 'Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures. The game features action from the first three Indy movies Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
It is available on Wii™, Nintendo DS, PlayStation®3, XBOX 360, PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system, the PlayStation®2 Entertainment System and Windows.
