Filmmaker Tim Burton is hard at work on a video clip for Las Vegas disco rock act The Killers' new single 'Bones'.
The band had recently filmed a clip for their 'When You Were Young' single in New Mexico. When they decided to film a clip for 'Bones', they came up with the idea to approach legendary goth filmmaker Tim Burton. As reported on Undercover in July, he accepted. He's since filmed two LA performances in August and taken the footage to a team of animators who are set to use Burton's trademark spooky models and miniature sets.Killers' bassist Mark Stoermer told MTV news, "Usually we go over the treatment with a fine-toothed comb and have a lot of influence, but this time we just let Tim do his thing." Singer Brandon Flowers was also fine with letting the director do what he does so well. "It's Tim Burton. It's going to be great. There are some skeletons, some darkness and some romance. What more could you want?"
MTV reported that the clip will feature Burton's typical cartoon goth feel but with a very Las Vegas atmosphere. Surprisingly, it's he very first time Burton has applied his stylised visions to a music clip.
