The Mars Volta have announced their return to Australia at the end of this year, playing venues those seeing them on the Big Day Out three years ago would've laughed at if they attempted.
This tour is indicative of just how successful the art-rockers have become, with their latest album 'Amputecture' recently being released in this part of the world.The band smash genres together, creating some kind of hybrid that can be obsessed over by metal, rock and even free-jazz fans.
