Britney Spears may be heading to Broadway. The tortured pop star is believed to be being considered for a role in the stage version of 'Grease'.
Spears would play the role of Sandy, according to the gossip mags. Sandy is the lead in the show. It was made famous by Olivia Newton-John in the movie version of 1980.The rumours don't appear to have any substance beyond an off-the-cuff comment in the New York street press, but as they say, never let the truth get in the way of a good story.
Britney's most recent appearance was in a couple of cameo roles in the hit TV series 'How I Met Your Mother'.
