The Edge will host the Music II Charity Auction in New York on May 31.
The auction is to raise money for Music Rising, the organization formed in 2006 to replace musical instruments lost or destroyed in the 2005 hurricane.The Emcee for the auction will be Simple Mind's Jim Kerr. There will be also performances from Aaron Neville and appearances by Les Paul and Joan Jett.
Up for auction is a jacket worn on stage by Bono with is expected to fetch around $8,000, four Beatles suits estimated at $80,000, a hand written poem by Jim Morrison worth around $6,000 and Miles Davis trumpet worth around $30,000.
The auction will be held at the Hard Rock Caf?? in New York at 7pm, May 31.
