The new website will preview the band's forthcoming 9th studio album which they began producing a year ago with Rick Rubin.The website will feature interviews with the band, footage from the recording of the album and for platinum members, access to high quality downloads on the album when it is released.
Members will also gain access to meet-and-greets and concert ticket presales.
The site will have a free access area for fans to view photos and hear news of the band.
For $11.99, there will be a high-quality download section where you will get the album.
At $19.99, you get the download and a physical copy of the album.
The $24.99 package has the download and Metallica platinum perks.
There is a $32.99 package adds the CD to the previous offering.
For $124.99, you get five vinyl LP's, the new album on CD and download, a lithograph and the platinum perks.
The yet-to-be titled album will be released in September.
