Students at Cambridge University are studying a song by Amy Winehouse.
'Love Is A Losing Game' from her 'Back To Black' album is being discussed as poetry for English literature students of the University. The students are studying the Winehouse song, written by producer Mark Ronson, as well as Bob Dylan's 'Boots of Spanish Leather', Billie Holiday's 'Fine and Mellow' and Sir Walter Raleigh's 'As You Came From The Holy Land'.
The University is not unknown for its left of centre studies. In 2001, students found a question pertaining to the Bee Gee's disco hit 'Tragedy' in an exam.
The lyrics for the Amy Winehouse song include:
For you I was a flame/Love is a losing game/Five storey fire as you came/Love is a losing game/Why do I wish I never played/Oh, what a mess we made/And now the final frame/Love is a losing game/Played out by the band love is a losing hand."
