Morrissey has covered David Bowie's 'Drive-In Saturday' for the B-side of his next single 'All You Need Is Me'. But be quick, 'All You Need Is Me' will be released on June 2 and deleted one week later.
The Bowie song was originally on David's 1973 album 'Aladdin Sane'. The Morrissey version was recorded live at the Orpheum Theatre in Omaha, Nebraska in May 2007.The single will also feature two previously unreleased Morrissey songs, 'My Dearest Love' and 'Children In Pieces'. The tracks were recorded in Los Angeles with Gustavo Santaolaila who has won Oscars for his scores for Brokeback Mountain and Babel.
The Morrissey/Bowie song will only be released on vinyl as a 7" single.
