Guitar Hero World Tour, with its new drum application, has been given the thumbs-up from The Police's Stewart Copeland, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Chad Smith and Blink-182's Travis Barker.
"It is as real as you can get for a video game. It is really impressive," Smith said. With the drums, they have reduced the huge drum-set which is a pain in the neck to carry around, a pain in the neck to set up and somewhat of a pain in the neck to play," said Police drummer Stewart Copeland. "They have reduced it to something that you just pull out of the box and plonk and it is ready to go. You don't even have to plug it in. It is wireless."
"Especially on the expert level of Guitar Hero where you are nailing every note for note, it is exactly like playing what the drummer in that band is playing," says Travis Barker.
Guitar Hero World Tour is the next version of Guitar Hero. It will be released in the third quarter of the year.
