Guitar Hero has taken on a whole new dimension with the latest update, Guitar Hero World Tour.
Guitar Hero World Tour brings in a whole new range of wireless instruments plus a Battle of the Bands eight-player game mode to allow you to interact with classic artists.As previously reported in Undercover, Linkin Park, Eagles, Sublime and Van Halen have contributed music to the new game.
Guitar Hero World Tour also has a new drum mode featuring three drums pads, two raised cymbals and a bass kick pedal.
The game features a Music Studio allowing the user to create and customize music and share it with the world. "Guitar Hero has set the standard for music-based gaming and with Guitar Hero World Tour and the game's groundbreaking Music Studio, we are once again delivering unprecedented innovation that has the potential to revolutionize consumer generated music, much in the same way that video sharing hubs have driven user generated video," said Dusty Welch, Head of Publishing for RedOctane in a statement. "With the introduction of our advanced high-quality new wireless instruments, in-depth customization options and advanced online functionality, the game enables music fans and gamers globally to share in the most social and expressive music experience ever."
The studio has a range of tools allowing the user to create music and play it in the game. The Battle of the Bands mode allows up to eight users to challenge each other online and an In The Band mode allowing four users to play together as a band.
Users will also be able to share their music online.
Guitar Hero World Tour will be available later this year.
