Following on from his successful collaboration with Australia's Guy Sebastian, Steve Cropper has recruited former Rascals singer Felix Cavaliere for his next project.
'Nudge It Up A Notch' will be an album of new material for the legendary Cropper, who wrote the classics '(Sitting On) The Dock of the Bay', 'In The Midnight Hour' and 'Knock On Wood'.Felix Cavaliere fronted the Rascals in the 60's (not to be confused with the current UK band with the same name).
The Rascals were best known for 'Good Lovin' and 'How Can I Be Sure'.
'Nudge It Up A Notch' started at producer Jon Tiven's Hormone Studios. It will feature 12 tracks, some of them instrumentals.
The album will be released on July 29.
Cropper's last album was with Australian soul singer Guy Sebastian. With the MG's, they recorded the covers album 'The Memphis Sessions' then toured Australia and then released the DVD 'The Memphis Tour'.
