Last week Jack White's house in Detroit was up for sale and this week, for a similar price, the late Syd Barrett's can be yours too.
The house, in "a nice area of" Cambridge, UK, was his home from 1981 until his death earlier this year. It was originally his mother's house, but she moved out to give him more space. It will be auctioned by British auction house Cheffins.
Cheffins will also auction off some of Barrett's possessions, which include artwork that he has never before seen, as well as two bicycles that he had painted and used regularly to go down to the shops or the pub.
Barrett died earlier this year from complications arising from leukemia at the age of 60. He was a member of Pink Floyd during the early years. The band later had a number of hits written about him including 'Wish You Were Here' and 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond'.
