Kylie Minogue and other celebrities have donated dresses to be auctioned, with proceeds going to the Royal Children's Hospital.
A pale rainbow dress that Kylie wore while performing on the UK's Today With Des And Mel talk show will be up for grabs alongside dresses from Suzie Wilks, Cathy Freeman, Jo Hall, Naomi Robson, Rhonda Birchmore, Symantha Perkins, Marianna Hardwick and more.Dubbed The Dress Revival Sale, the auction will take place in Kew's Villa Alba Museum on September 10 from 1pm but online bids can be placed at www.ljoul.com.au. They are also requesting new and preloved dresses, hats and bags from the public. Garment drop-off points are listed on the website.
All proceeds from the auction will go directly to Solve! At the Royal Children's Hospital, which is dedicated to the care of children with disabilities and promotes educational programs and research into childhood disabilities like cerebral palsy, spina bifida, autism and more.
Well known for her charity work, Minogue's first public appearance after her surgery for breast cancer was in mid-2005, when she visited a children's cancer ward at Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital.
