Geri Halliwell promises to quit music. Yes, it's true, it's really true!
Halliwell has abandoned her aspirations as a pop singer to become a children's writer. She is quoted as saying, "I feel like I've hung up my hotpants now. I'll always try and be honest about myself. I've finished as a solo artist. Right now I just feel really comfortable writing books."
Her first children's book 'Ugenia Lavender - She's Totally Ingenious' is going to be released on May 2.
The blurb reads "How will Ugenia Lavender fit in as the new girl in school? Does she ever discover the meaning of 'The Lovely Illness'? And can she rescue celebrity chef Uncle Harry from a big mix-up?"
For the record, that question mark, followed by a sentence beginning with "And" is actually in the blurb.
This is the first in a series of six books, to be released monthly. Other titles include: Ugenia Lavender and the Terrible, Ugenia Lavender and the Burning Pants, Ugenia Lavender Home Alone, Ugenia Lavender and the Temple of Gloom and Ugenia Lavender: The One and Only.
