Don't expect a new Stone temple Pilots album to go along with the tour. Scott Weiland has told Howard Stern that he is working on a solo album.
The recently former Velvet Revolver front man and reunited Stone Temple Pilots singer will release this, his second solo album, on his own Soft Drive label.Steve Albini is producing, No Doubt's Adrian Young is contributing to the record.
The last (and only) Weiland solo album was '12 Bar Blues' in 1998.
