Kisschasy are about to release their first rarities record. 'To B Or Not To B' is the name of their new album featuring their B-sides and deleted material.
Before signing with John watson's Eleven Records, Kisschasy had built up a sizeable fanbase and serviced the fanbase with a number of indie singles. While the singles are long gone, requests at their gigs for some of the songs are still strong.
"When we released "Darkside/Stay Awake" and "Cara Sposa" in 2004, we didn't have that many fans but the fans that we did have were really passionate about our music and were awesome. Now obviously things have changed and we have a whole bunch of new fans who are as equally passionate and awesome, but the new fans haven't had a chance to hear these old EP's because they have been deleted for so long. We thought it would be a really good idea to re-release them so that people can see where we came from, I think a lot of people think that the first thing we ever released was 'United Paper People'," says frontman Darren Cordeux in a statement.
Adds lead guitarist Sean Thomas, "The other thing about releasing this collection is that it gives us the opportunity to play these old songs again live which will bring back a lot of memories for us. We used to play these songs in front of about 50 people when we used to tour, to now be able to play these tracks in front of 2000 people a night on our upcoming tour is going to be lots of fun - It also means we are going to have to relearn them."
'To B Or Not 2 B' is a compilation of the old songs from the indie EPs as well as b-sides of singles from their debut album.
The album will feature a 16 track CD and 7 track DVD of all of the bands videos from 'United Paper people' and 'Hymns For The Non Believer'.
