Sam Clark, best known as Ringo Brown in Neighbours, will perform his new songs for the very first time at the PLW Showcase in Melbourne next week.
Clark has been playing Ringo in the super-soap since January, 2007 but was long before that an aspiring singer/songwriter and guitarist. He has been recording his new material at PLW's South Melbourne studios and will do them for the first time in front of a live audience at the Blue Diamond.
PLW's Victoria Wu has been working with Sam on the songs. "Sam is a great thinker, which especially for someone so young, is quite remarkable," she tells Undercover News. "He is an artist who writes and sings about things that interest him about the world and the quirks and ins 'n outs of human behaviour. Of course there are the heart songs as well but usually from a wonderfully deep perspective".
Sam will perform four original songs at the PLW showcase, including two co-written with Victoria Wu and Paul Wiltshire.
The PLW Showcase is on next Wednesday, April 23rd, at the Blue Diamond, level 15, 123 Queen St, Melbourne.
The night will also feature performances from Adam Martin, Trinity, Magenta Harley and Art of Wor, with special guests The Shuttle Wreckers.
