Motley Crue played a showcase gig in LA this afternoon to announce their first new album with original members in a decade ... and a tour to boot.
The Crue will take Crue Fest '08 on the road from July 1, starting in Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Florida. The tour will feature the motley crew of Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Trapt and Six:AM, the Nikki Sixx side project.
In a statement, Sixx said "We are SO excited not only to headline our own annual summer festival, but also to be able to share the stage with the next generation of great rock bands. There's not a lot Motley Crue hasn't done so to say this summer's festival is going to be about rock 'n roll excess is an understatement. A night of hit songs by great bands and a trail of panties coast to coast ... Crue Fest, hell yeah!"
The band also performed 'Saints of Los Angeles', that will be the title track from their first album featuring the original members in more than a decade.
The performance featured an all-star backing band made up of band members from Crue Fest. Backing vocals featured Josh Todd (Buckcherry), Jacoby Shaddix (Papa Roach), James Michael (Sixx:A.M.) and Chris Brown (Trapt).
'Saints of Los Angeles' will be released on June 17th on Crue's own Motley Crue records.
