Australian blues band Chain is about to turn 40.
Fronted by the legendary Matt Taylor and still with founding member Phil Manning, Chain first graced our stages in 1968.Taylor had a number one solo hit in the 70's with 'I Remember When I Was Young'. The song was covered by John Farnham on his recent covers album.
Chain were one of the first bands in the country to get a gold record for 'Towards The Blues'. That album also featured the hit song 'Black and Blue'.
Now with drummer Barry Harvey and bass player Dirk Dubois, Chain still produce new music. The most recent album was 'Sweet Honey'.
To celebrate 40 years, Chain will perform at the Perth Blues Club at the Charles Hotel on April 29, at the Leapold Hotel on May 2nd, the Civic Hotel on May 3rd and the Ravenswood Hotel on May 4.
