Celine Dion has scrapped her impending concert in Beijing because the Chinese promoter failed to get the appropriate permission.
Performances in China must undergo an extensive government approval process before permission is given for an event. This includes submitting lyrics to any song that will be performed so that the censor can approve each song.
The Chinese promoter had sold more than 10,000 tickets for the April 13 show at the Worker's Stadium in Beijing.
Celine says she will still come to China next week for promotional activities.
