Garbage's Shirley Manson will accept a cheque for £51,000 on behalf of Waverly Care on April 10.
Waverly Care of Scotland is the country's leading charity for supporting people living with HIV and AIDS.Manson will be presented with the cheque at the M-A-C counter on the ground floor at Harvey Nichols in Edinburgh between 1pm and 2pm on the day.
5,415 people are known to live with HIV in Scotland.
Manson is preparing the release of her debut solo album. She has been working on the record over the last two years with The Blue Nile's Paul Buchanan.
Beck, Jack White and Billy Corgan are expected to guest on the album.
