New York's The Bravery will return to Australia in June for the We Love Sounds Winter Festival.
The band started in 2003 and within a few years was making tabloid headlines with a war of words with The Killers. Brandon Flowers claimed that the Bravery "owed his four-piece lip service for opening the door for keyboard rockers".Sam Endicott from the band says their name is synonymous with New York. "The name is also connected with living in New York in this really weird time," he says. "People are constantly waiting for something bad to happen. I wrote these songs and formed this band to make sure I didn't get overcome by that sense of fear. That's what this band is about - standing tall and not being afraid."
The Bravery will play:
June 5, Melbourne, The Corner
June 6, Sydney, The Metro
June 10, Brisbane, The Zoo
