Although the TV show Underbelly remains banned in the state of Victoria, the soundtrack can now be legally absorbed.
Underbelly is the Australian mini-series portraying the true story of Melbourne's crime network. The show tells the story of Carl Williams and various other hoods who are mostly dead, in prison or in the courts.Because of the cases still to go to court, the show has been banned from television by the Victoria court for the state of Victoria. That ruling has turned it into one of the most illegally downloaded or bootlegged shows in history.
The good news is that you won't wind up in a cell next to Williams just for listening to the soundtrack.
Burkhard Dullwitz wrote the compelling theme song 'It's A Jungle Out There' and the score is also featured as the Underbelly Suite on the CD.
The soundtrack features Nick Cave's version of 'The Carnival Is Over' and The Easybeats classic 'Sorry'.
