Fresh out of prison, rapper Lil' Kim has found herself once again the subject of legal squabbles. She is being sued for stealing lyrics.
Jamaican reggae singer/songwriter Tanya Stephens claims that in 1999 she met with Lil' Kim and presented her song 'Mi and Mi God' to her.The claim alleges that the song is remarkably similar to Lil' Kim's 2005 release 'Durty' from her 'The Naked Truth album.
'The Naked Truth' reached number 6 last year on the Billboard chart and dominated the BET Awards this year.
Stephens has recorded 6 albums. She has the number 3 song in Jamaica this week with "These Streets'.
