Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys and Miles Kane from The Rascals will soon launch their side-project called The Last of the Shadow Puppets.
Kane got to know Turner from his previous band The Little Flames who toured with Arctic Monkeys. The joint venture is inspired by Scott Walker, early Bowie and David Axelrod.
The debut album for The Last Shadow Puppets will release their debut album 'The Age of the Understatement' on April 21st.
The first single, the title track from the album, will be released on April 14th.
The b-side to the single features a cover of Bowie's early 'In The Heat of the Morning'. The obscure Bowie track was only ever released on the 'Bowie at the Beeb' live album, which featured tracks recorded at the BBC between 1968 and 1972.
The Last Shadow Puppets have also recorded a cover of Billy Fury's 60s hit 'Wondrous Place'.
