Paul McCartney has released a statement following the death of his friend, former Beatles roadie and Apple chief Neil Aspinall.
McCartney said, "Neil was a great man who I knew even before I met any of the guys in The Beatles. I met him at school when we were both eleven and we remained friends ever since. I was able to say goodbye and thank him for everything he did for us and I send my deepest loving sympathies to his wonderful family. I will miss him but will remember the laughs, there were plenty."Neil Aspinall died of lung cancer in New York last weekend.
