American Idol fav David Archuleta chose a John Farnham song to sing on the show this week. Archuleta sang 'You're The Voice'.
The song is a strange choice for American Idol. While a number one hit in Australia, the song is barely known in the USA. American's were only treated to the tune via a cover by Heart some years after Farnham.The judges also agreed that it was a bizarre choice. Paula Abdul says she was confused by the choice of song. Randy Jackson likewise thought the decision was bizarre but said that Archuleta "could sing the telephone book".
This week's American Idol contestants sang song from the year they were born.
