Just on one year since the death of Boston singer Brad Delp, the band is heading out for shows with Stryper singer Michael Sweet.
Delp was found dead at his home in Atkinson, New Hampshire on March 9, 2007. Police ruled the death as suicide.Sweet will take over the Delp vocals for the tour and play guitar. Boston has also added fan Tommy DeCarlo to their line-up. DeCarlo was discovered via his website performing covers of Boston songs.
To coincide with the tour, Sony Legacy will reissue a remastered version of the Boston 'Greatest Hits' album.
Sweet first performed with Boston in August 2007 at a tribute show for Delp. That show was filmed and may be released as a DVD. Sweet has also made public that he has been recording with Tom Scholz which has fans suggesting that a 6th Boston album may also be in the works.
