While Radiohead fans eagerly waited to see if their beloved saviours of beep-rock were going to have the headline spot at Glastonbury, only to be disappointed, Thom Yorke and co were busy shaking their heads at the world-polluting festival.
Speaking to The Sun, Yorke said, "What we're trying to do is only play in areas that have a public transport infrastructure in place, so that rules out Glastonbury for this year."It probably rules out a number of American shows this year too.
A large part of a concert's pollution comes from the fact that people drive to concerts in cars, either alone or in pairs, rather than on public transport.
So if you're going to see Radiohead, catch the train, bus, tram, boat, or anything else you can think of that is public (except a taxi...). Or don't and say you did.
