Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has declared that "everyone might not like our new album".
The singer, speaking to Rolling Stone from the studio doesn't seem too concerned if people don't like it, saying "Whether or not it's good, we certainly started to use more colours. It's impossible to please everybody, and it took us a while to learn that. It's just the freedom to say, 'Everyone might not like this. We're into it at the moment, so let's just get it done.'"The band have been holed up in the studio working with legendary producer Brian Eno, who's work with artists such as U2, Devo and Talking Heads has seen them perfect their crafts.
It will be Coldplay's fourth album. Guitarist Jonny Buckland explained the need to experiment, "We felt like the first three albums were a trilogy, and we finished that. So we wanted to do something different."
Each of Coldplay's albums have become more and more esoteric, but ironically they have become bigger and bigger with each release. By this logic, this new record will see Coldplay become a new planet, of which we all orbit around.
Tracks include 'Cemeteries of London', 'Reign Of Love', 'Life In Technicolor' and 'Death and All His Friends.'
