One of SxSW's interesting gigs this year is from Body of War. Body of War is Kimya Dawson from Moldy Peaches and Juno fame, Tom Morello from Rage Against The Machine and Serj Tankian from System of a Down.
Kimya was the female voice in Moldy Peaches, the anti-folk US band that has been catapulted to fame because of the Juno soundtrack.While the band has been on hold since 2004, their song 'Anyone Else But You' became a surprise recent hit via the movie 'Juno'.
The Body of War SxSW listing says it features Kimya, Serj and Tom with special guests.
So what is Body of War and who could the special guests be? Body of War is a movie by Ellen Spiro and Phil Donohue to mark the 5th anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq.
Original music for the movie is by Eddie Vedder. Neil Young also contributes to the soundtrack.
