Glen Hansard from Irish band The Frames will perform at the Academy Awards.
Hansard, the star of movie 'Once', will perform 'Falling Slowly' with Marketa Irglova. The song has been nominated in the Best Original Song Category.The movie 'Once' has already clocked up a number of awards. 'Falling Slowly' was named Best Song at the Critics Choice Awards and the soundtrack named Best Music for a Film by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association.
Hansard also picked up two Grammy nominations for the soundtrack at this year's Grammy Awards.
In the Best Musical Song category, 'Once' is competing with 'August Rush' and three nominations from 'Enchanted'.
The 80th Academy Awards are on February 24th.
