The house was designed and built in 1914 by C. Howard Crane, an architect whose credits include Atlanta's Fox Theatre, Detroit's own United Artists Theatre and the August Wilson theatre in New York City.It has been occupied by White Stripes front man Jack White since 2003, who recorded the last White Stripes album 'Get Behind Me Satan' in the house's Grand Staircase and foyer and was the site of the White Stripes clip 'Blue Orchid'.
The first occupant was attorney Ralph Phelps and throughout the fifties it was occupied by Emmy award winning actress Ann Harding.
The house is available for inspection by appointment only and only to pre approved buyers who can prove they have the funds.
