Britney Spears has left the UCLA Medical Center where she was being treated just six days after being admitted to the psychiatric ward.
The faded popstar entered the medical center last Thursday and was placed on 72 hour watch, which was then extended a further 14 days. However, Spears was not ordered by the court to stay under watch and was free to leave at any time ... and she has.
A few days ago, Spears mother Lynne told media that a probable cause of her daughter's problems was her self-appointed manager Sam Lufti, who was drugging the singer and keeping her distant from family and friends.
Lufti has now been ordered by the court to break all contact with Britney and stay at least 250 yards from her.
Britney's father James has been given temporary custody over his daughter's assets.
Britney made a low-key departure from the hospital, accompanied by private security guards.
She left in a black Mercedes that was immediately followed by the paparazzi. News footage shows photographers clambering around her car every time it stops on the road and coming up to the window and taking photographs.
One scene showed someone putting a mobile phone into Britney's hand and Britney appears to take the phone and talk into it.
After leaving the hospital, Britney was reported to have gone immediately to a Beverly Hills hotel.
