Despite her numerous break-downs and the break-up, the hideous comeback at the MTV awards and the lip-sync tour of the House of Blues, Britney Spears made a pretty decent living last year.
Britney banked $8 million during July 2006-June 2007.The money came mostly from her share of the perfume brand 'Curious'. Business magazine Forbes reports that Curious grossed $55.4 million during 2006, which put a chunk of cash in Britney's pocket.
She also earned revenues from her older material as well as from sales of her new album 'Breakdown' which is still providing hits for her in various parts of the world. 'Piece Of Me' is doing well in Europe at the moment.
Britney isn't the only one that has discovered that smell sells. Gwen Stefani and Jennifer Lopez also earned an equally good pay-check from fragrances last year.
Madonna was the biggest female earner of last year. She made $72m. Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion were at No. 2 and No. 3.
