Gene Simmons was an early casualty in Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice.
The Kiss bass player was fired after he defected to the women's team and went into arrogant old Gene mode.Simmons referred to himself in the third person, called himself 'Mr. Outside The Box', refused a sponsorship brief from team sponsor Kodak and didn't consider valid any suggestions except his own.
"Gene Simmons does not need to sit with other corporate executives and hear the party line. Kodak is looking outside the box which actually determines that I shouldn't go and listen to what is within the box. I am Mr. Outside The Box," he said.
Not only is Gene Mr. Outside The Box, he is now also Mr. Outside The Show.
In a survey at nbc.com, 56.24% said Simmons was fired for arrogance. 20.3% said his biggest flaw was refusing to listen and 19.83% called him stubborn.
Gene, who fancies himself as a ladies man, didn't get the vote for flirting. Only 3.63% said he went over that.
