Jay-Z's seven week world trek to raise awareness of the world's water crisis will end in Melbourne, Australia on October 28th.
The entrepreneur, R 'n' B star will be filming the tour for MTV for a documentary to be titled 'Diary of Jay-Z: Water for Life'.The tour has been welcomed by UN Secretary General Kofi Annan for its message of promoting water shortage as a global initiative. In a statement, Annan said "Most of us take water for granted but for more than a billion people who lack access to safe drinking water, this is an inconceivable dream".
Jay-Z said "After hearing and reading some of the startling statistics about the lack of clean water, I realized that I needed to bring attention to this issue. I know through joining with experts through UN and partnering with MTV to bring the word to our communities, we can make a difference".
