The Osmonds got together last year to celebrate their 50th anniversary. Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny, Marie and Little Jimmy performed at the Orleans Casino in Las Vegas in August, 2007. That show will be released on CD and DVD on April 1st.
The Osmonds also they plan to take the show around the world. The Osmonds 50th Anniversary World Tour will kick off in London on May 20.The live DVD from Vegas features an appearance by Andy Williams, who discovered The Osmonds and made them household names on his 60s TV show.
The set-list featured the hits, lots of them, including the groups 'Lazy River' and 'One Bad Apple', Donny's 'Puppy Love', Marie's 'Paper Roses' and Little Jimmy's 'Long Haired Lover From Liverpool'.
Jimmy is not so little anymore. He is now 44 years old. He was also the producer of the DVD.
The Osmonds collectively and solo have recorded 142 albums and clocked up a trophy wall featuring 51 gold and platinum albums.
The Osmond clan today numbers 120 family members.
