Aerosmith's Stephen Tyler has pocketed a nice $50 million after selling his publishing to Primary Wave Music Publishing this week.
The catalogue includes 160 songs written by Tyler including classics such as 'Dude Looks Like A Lady', 'Janie's Got A Gun' and 'Walk This Way'.Primary Wave Music Publishing owns the catalogues of Kurt Cobain, Hall & Oates, Steve Earle and a stake in the Beatles songs of John Lennon.
Tyler says he made the deal to keep the songs alive well into the future. "Primary Wave's expertise will ensure that my catalog will continue to rock generations well into the future and boldly go where no songs have gone before," Tyler told the New York Post.
