In addition to the bands announced yesterday for South by Southwest, fans and industry types can expect even more of a treat in 2008 at Austin's famed conference.
The Breeders, The Von Bondies, The Kills, Daniel Lanois, Jens Lenkman and The Raveonettes join others in showcasing their latest to the who's who of the music industry.The big name acts are certainly seeming to be piling up at this year's conference, with R.E.M., Daryl Hall and Lou Reed certainly planning on taking audiences from the lesser known acts.
But as anyone who has been to SXSW knows, with the proper preparation and a little luck, the most unknown band can play to a packed house.
South by Southwest will take place in Austin, TX from March 12 - 17.
