Bravo, Dr. Phil. Bravo! Congratulations on your brilliant publicity stunt using the pain of Britney Spears to generate global media coverage for yourself. Well done!
Dr. Phil has brilliantly manipulated the world media into focusing part of the Britney story on himself.Wasn't this the guy who just a few months ago went on the Letterman show and talked publicly about Spears' problems and how he would handle them?
Whatever happened to the oath a doctor takes and the confidentiality they are meant with patients? That rule obviously doesn't apply to when there is a headline to be had. It certainly doesn't apply to Dr. Phil.
Dr. Phil using Britney Spears for his own blatant self-promotion is a disgrace.
In a statement published to US Magazine, Phil said "My meeting with Britney and some family members this morning in her room at Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention." He has no right whatsoever to discuss a patient so publicly.
And today, he is giving his TV show a run in the headlines at the expense of Spears. "As was widely reported this weekend, at the request of concerned family members, I visited Britney Spears in the hospital. The details of that visit will, of course, remain private. ??"We had planned to tape a Dr. Phil Now show today, focusing not on the tabloid side of Britney's latest problems, but instead on the very serious issues surrounding this case. Clearly, it is not just Britney's family struggling to find a way to protect adult children who cannot be ordered or compelled to seek help".
Oh geez Phil, give the public some credit. Don't make out you are a saint. The public isn't going to buy that crap. You have joined the scum of media, down in the gutter the paparazzi, doing whatever you can do to make the news.
Well, congrats Phil, you have just made another headline.
