While REM manager Bertis Downs is apologizing for a "slow news cycle" at the official REM website, it appears that other media organizations have a lot more current news on the band.
England's Q Magazine has announced that the title of the forthcoming REM album will be 'Accelerate'.That news comes one week after Virgin Radio in the UK published a list of songs from the album which were:

On December 22, Undercover broke the news that REM will start a 90 day countdown to the release of the album on January 1st, 2008 when they launch the website ninetynights.com
REM's 14th studio album is due April 1, 2008.
